The three nymphs are sometimes called the Atlantides after their father, Atlas. For the 11th labor, Hercules is sent to steal three golden apples from the gardens of the Hesperides. The Garden of Hesperides, generally regarded as the most beautiful spot on earth, is the private reserve of the Olympic goddess Hera. The reason is, this fruit is said to reduce cardiovascular disease such as heart attacks and strokes.
